Lozano claimed the win of the PXM International Vans Pro in front of his home crowd over an international field of finalists including Gabriel Villaran, Ryan Turner and fellow Puerto Escondido local David Rutherford.

Top ASP Pro Junior Surfers standout in latter rounds

The PXM International Vans Pro saw two of the top ASP North America Pro Junior Series surfers take advantage of the three-to-five foot surf on offer and advance into the Quarterfinals. Blake Howard (Carpinteria, CA), 26, was also in form today, netting the day’s highest single wave score of a near-perfect 9.0 out of a possible 10.
