Blackpool Wake Park Opens In England
The impressive Blackpool Wake Park in Northern England is now under construction and the last details are almost finished for the grand opening, which is just in a matter of days.
The Wake Park will use the revolutionary Sesitec System 2.0 cable tow and will include 4 floating obstacles designed by Alliance Wakeboard Magazine. The System 2.0 is a 2 tower cable tow device that spans up to 225m and at Blackpool gives a riding area of 196m.
The lake at Ream Hills Farm is ideal for a System 2.0. The premises include a club house, snack bar, changing room and showers, plus accommodation for overnight stays with lake views.
The 4 floating obstacles are in construction now and include a mellow kicker, 52’ box with mini wall ride, a wakeskate manual box and an incline rail. The rails will be installed in a staggered time frame over the next few weeks as the build up to summer approaches.
The obstacles cater to all standards of wakeboarder and wakeskater and are designed by Tim Woodhead from Alliance Magazine. Woodhead's past rail and pool gap designs have been seen at events like Wakestock, Rail Masters and many more.
Courtesy of Hyperlite and Relentless Wakestock a huge give away will take place during the first week of riding. Anyone who books into ride at Blackpool Wake Park between 22nd and 30th May will have the chance to win 2 tickets for Relentless Wakestock worth over £200 and a full wakeboard setup from Hyperlite including board and bindings.
