PWA Grand Slam: Browne and Offringa take Freestyle Titles
The 17 year old whirlwind Sarah-Quita Offringa extends her unprecedented run for the season 2008 and wins the freestyle title at the PWA World Tour in Fuerteventura. The 19 years old Brasilian Marcilio Browne wins in outstanding heats the freestyle title in the men section.
This 17 years young, amazing girl from Aruba with her nice rasta hair and her broad smile is about to overthrow the old order and topple the name Moreno from the freestyle throne 2008. The Moreno twins have revolutionized women’s freestyle windsurfing, moreover they have given it a meaning in a men’s world some years ago. Today there is only one chance left for the 31 years old acting World Champion Daida Moreno to defend her title at the Super Grand Slam in Sylt. But if Sarah-Quita continues her excellent performances it will be a very hard work.
The men’s freestyle title of the Fuerteventura event 2008 was conquered by 19 years old Brazilian Marcilio “Brawzinho” Browne. He dominated the field from the beginning on and could fix his leading position like Sarah-Quita already before the last heats were being held. In the men’s freestyle world of 2008 the reigning World Champion Marcilio Browne has to fight off serious attacks by Venezualan guy Jose “Gollito” Estredo.
The latter will start into the last freestyle competition at Sylt form the overall leading position. The last freestyle competition for the 2008 season will be at the Colgate World Cup at Sylt from October 26. to November 5. 2008.

Bernd Flessner wins his 13. title as German Windsurfing Champion
During five days of exciting windsurfing action, the 100.000 visitors witnessed one more time Bernd Flessners leading position in the German Windsurfing scene. For the 13th time in a row he finished the national season as the best windsurfer.
