ASP European Champion 2012: Marlon Lipke

Marlon: "I'm so stoked. I think this is a very important title for me at this stage of my career and to have a European trophy in my hands again after so long is very special. I think this European title race was very close and many of the other Europeans could have had me this contest, but luck was on my side and I think the hard work over the whole year has paid off."

I made it and I think it's a title that we should take more serious in the future. I think it's a title that should be pushed more like in other sports. I would like to dedicate this title to my lovely mother." Marlon is to date the sole German surfer to ever qualify for the elite ASP World Tour.
