ASP Initiates New Anti-Doping Policy For 2012

The ASP has been hoping for years to enact a new Anti-Doping Policy for the elite surfers that participate in the ASP World Title Series. Finally, this policy has come into effect for the 2012 season and it shares the support of both the men and women of the surfing community.

Quiksilver Pro New York Cancelled for 2012

Despite the fantastic surf event in 2011, the ASP World Title Series will not be returning to New York for the 2012 tour. Quiksilver and the ASP regret the event cancellation but fail to expand upon the factors that have resulted in this decision.

Perrow Wins 2011 Billabong Pipe Masters In Hawaii

Kieren Perrow has won his inaugural ASP World Tour event, taking out the 2011 Billabong Pipe Masters in Memory of Andy Irons over Joel Parkinson. John John Florence is the overall winner of the 2011 Vans Triple Crown.

Kelly Slater Officially Claims 2011 ASP World Title

It was an unnerving mistake, but Kelly Slater had no hard feelings after he was awarded the 2011 ASP World Title prematurely. With the help of a few good waves at the Rip Curl Pro, Slater advanced to the Quarterfinals and reclaimed his title.

ASP Admits Calculation Error And Revokes Kelly Slater's Title

Kelly Slater was awarded the 2011 ASP World Title, but before he could thoroughly enjoy his triumph, the ASP had to revoke the title due to an error in calculation.
