Mark McMorris And Ethan Deiss Join Burton's AM Team
Mark McMorris and Ethan Deiss are stoked to be joining the Burton AM Team and representing the top manufacturer of snowboarding gear for the 2011 winter season.
Just last week, Mark made his way to the Burton home base in Vermont for the first time to get a tour of the headquarters and meet the product managers.
“I’m really stoked to be riding the best products with the most progressive team in the business,” said Mark. “Since I got on the program, I’ve already been working with such great people that all share a strong love for snowboarding, and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.”
Since Mark McMorris's focus is mainly on slopestyle and big air events, he will be on the contest circuit all season long. The star snowboarder has already claimed two second place finishes in slopestyle - one at the Dew Tour stop in Breckenridge and another at the O’Neill Evolution in Davos.
McMorris took the podium once again at the Killington Dew Tour stop for his third-place finish in slopestyle. Mark is attending the Aspen X Games with the rest of the world’s top riders to compete in big air and slopestyle.
Now that he’s on the Burton AM team, Ethan will have his first chance to film with a full-fledged movie project this season.
“You wanna know what’s cool about Burton…? Everything." said Ethan Deiss. "My only regret in snowboarding is not riding for Burton earlier. The product is just so sick.”

The 6Star O'Neill Evolution wrapped up in Davos, Switzerland with Sebastien Toutant and Jamie Anderson winning the slopestyle titles and Christian Haller and Kelly Clark taking top honors in halfpipe.
Roope and Jamie took home a nice chunk of the $125,000 USD prize purse, in addition to securing their spots to compete in the 2012 World Snowboarding Championships taking place in Oslo, Norway in February 2012.
