BEO confirms top snowboarders

Snowboarders from around the globe are getting ready to ride for top honors and celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Burton European Open from January 9-16 in LAAX, Switzerland.

Among the confirmed invited riders are Peetu Piiroinen from Finland, Olympic champion and defending 08 BEO slopestyle winner Shaun White (USA), Mikkel Bang (NOR), who placed second at last year’s Air & Style in Munich, and Swiss style master Nicolas Müller.

The women’s starting field is also impressive with TTR World Champion 07/08 Jamie Anderson (USA), Dutch slopestyle queen Cheryl Maas, former Olympic Champion Kelly Clark (USA), Canadian Marie-France Roy, Laax local Sina Candrian and the UK’s outstanding rider Jenny Jones, who came very close to winning the BGOS championship title last year.

The BEO’s 10th birthday will not only be celebrated with outstanding snowboarding, but also with legendary parties and live music acts. UK band The Streets will play a live concert on Friday, January 16th, at The Riders Palace.
