Beloved Poney Session Upgraded To 4Star Event For 2011 Season

The 2011 4Star TTR Poney in the French Pyrénnées mountain range is set to be better than ever, with a top line up of international riders, great prizes, and a laid-back atmosphere.

The creative slopestyle course at the Poney features a polejam, kickers and rails. The winner will take home 500 TTR ranking points and the top honour of the only French 4Star TTR event this season.

This event also brings out those riders who are no longer active on the competition scene for some spring-time riding, such as Mathieu Crépel, who was the first ever TTR Tour Champion in 2005/06.

Crépel will be challenged by the new generation of French talent such as Gerome Matthieu, who at the start of this season bagged his first 4Star title at the 4Star Nissan Stomp-It in Italy, as well as, Johann Baisamy, Victor De Le Rue and Maxence Tevelle, who are familiar faces on the TTR Tour.

On site will also be Niklas Mattson, who is an up-and-coming Swede to watch out for. Niklas already bagged a first 5Star podium place at the Nescafe Champs Leysin Slopestyle this winter. Fellow Swedes, Isak Björnström, Niklas Askmyr and Kalle Ohlson are also on the riders list of the 2011 4Star TTR Poney.

Even though the Swatch TTR Tour Champions were crowned last weekend at the 6Star Burton US Open - where Peetu Piiroinen received his third consecutive TTR trophy and Jamie Anderson took her second Tour Champ title - many more 4Star events are on the agenda.

After the 4Star TTR Poney, the 4Star Grandvalira Total Fight will be in Andorra from March 24-26 and the newly upgraded 4Star Battery Catfight will take on Levi, Finland from March 24-27, featuring slopestyle, halfpipe and rail jam formats.
