Japanese boarders dominate Snowboard FIS World Cup opening

At the 2009 Snowboard FIS World Cup kick-off in Cardrona, the snowboarders from Japan have shown once again that one has to have them on the list when it comes down to halfpipe competitions.

Snowboard and freeski contest, concerts and parties as well as the "Testival" with brandnew material for the 08/09 season are the basics of the wellknown opening. But also new ideas have been discussed and are now being realised.

Guldemond and Anderson win slopestyle at Australian Open

The skies opened up for some beautiful blue bird conditions as Jamie Anderson and Torstein Horgmo won the final Burton Australian Open Slopestyle Titles of the Southern Hemisphere.

The second day of the Burton Australian Open go down at Perisher Blue Resort, where men’s and women’s halfpipe qualifications took place.

The 4Star Oakley Stylewars did not only push snowboarding to another level but also had a major impact on the 08/09 Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour Rankings with tour veterans, young guns, and south-hemi up and comers all throwing down enormous maneuvers, staking their claims for the title early on.


Tom Wallisch Wins the Nike 6.0 Ski Rail Jam in Portland

The Nike 6.0 Snowboard and Ski Rail Jam went down on the Saturday night of the Wendy's Invitational in Portland and the riding was top level, with Tom Wallisch winning the ski division.


Australian Open Snowboarding Championships 2008

Some of the biggest names in international snowboarding are making their way down under to the Burton Australian Open Snowboarding Championships, which will take place from September 1-5, 2008 at Perisher Blue resort in Australia.

Anderson and Bang pull ahead at Burton NZO Slopestyle 2008

Snowboarding is back and it feels oh so good. Kicking off the 08/09 Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour Season, The 5Star Burton New Zealand Open Slopestyle Finals for both men and women took place at Snowpark, New Zealand, with riders pushing the bar right from the get-go.

Anderson and Kokubo claim 5Star NZO Halfpipe Titles

Jamie Anderson can enjoy another sucess at the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour 08/09. After winning the slopestyle at the Burton New Zealand Open she also won the halfpipe contest. The Japanese Kazuhiro Kokubo won with high airtimes the title in the male section.

Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour start in New Zealand

While some riders are taking advantage of the skate and surf in the northern hemisphere, dedicated snowboarders will soon be trekking down south for the first stop of the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour's 08/09 season, the 5Star Burton New Zealand Open.

Kevin Pearce wins the Air & Style 2007

20-year old Kevin Pearce has taken victory in the Nokia Air & Style 2007 at the Munich Olympic Stadium in front of 28,000 spectators. He prevailed at the superfinal with 286 opoints over Mikkel Bang, Torstein Horgmo and David Benedek.
