KB4girls 2010 World Tour: Kristin Heads Back To Germany
The native German, Kristin Boese, returns to her roots to hold a KB4girls tour stop in Fischland, Germany. This stop is especially meaningful since she will be joined by many friends.
This venue is especially important to Kirstin because she first experienced kitesurfing as a windsurfing instructor at the Surf Center Wustrow.
Kristin’s original idea of supporting female kitesurfers was so successful that the end result was the KB4girls world tour. Fischland, Germany has now become one of the KB4girls tour stops and will be yet another very special event.
The Surf Center Wustrow has also been the main support behind Kristin Boese's kiteboarding camp since 2003, providing a venue, free camp sites, food and refreshments.
“The Surf Center Wustrow is very special to me since it basically is the birth place of my kiting career," said Kristin. "To have the support of the guys from the Center means a lot to me since I still feel very connected to the time when I used to work there.”
Another very special and meaningful collaboration is the one with the “Silke Gorldt Foundation” which was created in honor of the German kiter Silke Gorldt who died in a tragic kite accident in 2002. Silke was a great friend and inspiration to Kristin.
In remembrance of Silke, Kristin works to support the Silke Gorldt Foundation and keep her spirit alive in current kiting events.
With a fully booked clinic and 50 girls attending, the KB4girls event in Fischland, Germany will be the biggest one of the 2010 tour.
