KB4girls 2010: New Partners For Kristin Boese
Support for the KB4girls kitesurfing clinics continues to sky rocket. Kristin Boese announces three new major partnerships that have been made in the past few weeks and explains how these partners will work to improve KB4girls.
Since Kristin Boese started KB4girls in October 2009, the free clinics have not only attracted the attention of girls around the world, but also brands both inside and outside the kiteboarding industry.
Partners have been selected based on their ability to deliver great events for the female athletes. Recently, KB4girls has made some landmark partnerships with IKO, justkiteit.com, and womenssportreport.com.
IKO is the worldwide authority on qualifying kite instructors and now, in cooperation with KB4girls, the participants of the kiteboarding clinics will receive IKO membership cards upon completion of the program. IKO members can access useful information in the online platform and can use their IKO certification to enjoy the services of IKO centers across the world.
New to the program will be an IKO safety and self rescue briefing. Sandrine Roussos, CEO of the IKO is very excited about the new partnership.
“Building such an important network of girl kiteboarders is an excellent development to the sport," says Roussos. "KB4girls is a great project for all the girls out there and we are delighted to be a partner.”
To spread the word about the KB4girls clinics, the media information source Just Kite It has also joined as a partner. Founder Jessica Valenzuela will be organzing the local North American events.
”We're thrilled to be a partner in Kristin Boese's KB4 Girls events!" says Valenzuela. "Sharing the kiteboarding experience gives me so much fulfillment, so when the opportunity came for us to co-host some of the events in the US and be an official partner, I jumped on the opportunity!”
To further raise awareness, KB4girls teamed up with the world wide online portal for female athletes Womensportreport who will be updating their female community about the girls only kiteboarding events around the world. Gina Dessalines, Marketing Director and Co-Founder at Womensportreport.com says:
”Womensportreport agrees with the aims, motivations and goals behind the project 100% and will do our part by supporting Kristin and the girls gain the publicity that is needed to push this forward! Good Luck!!!”
“It is really motivating for me to see that there is so much demand for events like these and that not only by the girls that want to join in but also partners that want to join and help," says Kristin Boese. "I am very pleased about the partnerships we could form over the past week and am now really looking forward to the next KB4girls event."
The next KB4girls event will take place in Maui, starting on this coming Friday, April 9th.
