Jury Members Announced For The 2010 Nissan Outdoor Games
The event coordinators of the 2010 Nissan Outdoor Games have released the names of this summer's judges. Six exceptional athletes and outdoor fanatics will have the difficult task of choosing the winning videos.
Stefano De Benedetti, renowned extreme skier, will be the president of the jury. De Benedetti has years of mountain skiing experience and has even starred in movies like the ski documentary, "Steep".
Philippe Lebeau is the initiator of the project for the 2018 winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Annecy, France. Lebeau is dedicated to sports and has a background as an amateur triathlete. As director of the communication agency Aerocom, he is a specialist in short film production, an interesting asset for the jury.
Legendary skier, Glen Plake, is also a charismatic TV presenter with his own TV show in the US. Plake is a part time resident in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, and has started the prestigious mountain guide training at the ENSA in Chamonix. Plake has been on the Nissan Outdoor Games jury in previous years.
Native to Switzerland, Geraldine Fasnacht is considered one of the world’s best BASE-jumpers, wingsuit flyers, and snowboarders. In addition to her participation on the jury, she will show video of her descents in Antarctica and on Baffin Island. Fasnacht is already familiar with the Nissan Outdoor Games since she competed as team member in previous editions.
Dino Raffault from France is an extreme sports events organiser for events like the Speed Flying Pro in Les Arcs and the Line Catcher. Extreme sport film producer and journalist, Raffault is a passionate outdoor athlete and has been a member of the jury in previous years.
Coming from a long line of mountain guides, David Ravanel splits his time between mountain guide assignments and professional photography. He has been Head of Mountain Rescue in the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc valley and is also a serious BASE-jumper.
On Thursday 15 July, the jury will present the Golden Peak Award for best film, the Nissan Prove It Award for best action sequence and the Best Still Photographer Award, with a total prize purse of 32 000 € at the 2010 Nissan Outdoor Games.
At the Wenger Patagonian Expedition Race, one of the hardest adventure runs in the world, the participants have to constantly push it to the limit.

The Nissan Outdoor Games Film Festival is back with another exciting event that combines kayaking, climbing, mountain biking, paragliding and BASE-jumping. Team members will attempt the wildest moves, while a film crew works to capture every moment.
