Nissan Outdoor Games 2010: Film Festival In France
The Nissan Outdoor Games Film Festival is back with another exciting event that combines kayaking, climbing, mountain biking, paragliding and BASE-jumping. Team members will attempt the wildest moves, while a film crew works to capture every moment.
After five consecutive summer programs, Nissan Outdoor Games is returning for the 2010 season. The five teams will have only one week to create the best short film and still photo production in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France.
The Nissan Outdoor Games is a unique event, uniting top extreme sport athletes with the world's best filmmakers and photographers.
The teams will display their hard work to the public on a giant screen in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France on July 15, 2010.
The world elite of kayakers, climbers, mountain bikers, paragliders, and BASE-jumpers will group into five teams with an elite selection of film and photo crew to create a five minute film of the most impressive outdoor sport moments that they can capture.
In addition to the films, a jury will announce the winners on July 15, 2010. Competitors will have the chance to win 30 000 € in prize money. The awards include, the “Golden Peak Award," given to the team with the best film, the “Prove It Award” for the team with the best sport sequence, and the “Best Still Photo Award.”
The event offers a highly creative atmosphere where interesting development and progress is seen within the sports as well as within the art of filmmaking in an outdoor environment.
With its beautiful natural setting, Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France is the perfect venue for the Nissan Outdoor Games Film Festival.
Red Bull Cliff Diving 2010: Gary Hunt Wins in La Rochelle
The sport's most distinguished series - the 2010 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series - kicked off with its first event in La Rochelle. Gary Hunt claimed the win after diving 27.50 meters into freezing cold water before 50,000 spectators.
