Nissan Outdoor Games 2010 Winners
The closing ceremony of the 2010 Nissan Outdoor Games revealed the winners of the Golden Peak award, the Nissan Best Action Sequence, and the Best Still Photographer award.
On Thursday, July 15, the seven-member jury of the 2010 Nissan Outdoor Games gathered to decide the winners of this unique film and photography competition.
With some of the best extreme sport athletes, photographers and producers, judging the final products of the participating groups was no easy task.
Stefano De Benedetti, president of the jury, tried his best to explain the basis for this year's decisions.
"With all the equipment we have today it is not the beautiful images that are the biggest challenge but to link all the scenes together and make a good story in such a short time," said De Benedetti.
The results were announced later that evening, with the Golden Peak award going to Team Argon of Austria, The Nissan Best Action Sequence to Team Golgoht of Finland, and the Best Still Photographer award to Tristan Shu of the French Team Oseven.
"For us as a jury, Argon conveyed more emotion than the others," said De Benedetti. "The crescendo, the rhythm of the film was excellent. In a normal setting it would take weeks, even months to do such work."
In response to Tristan Shu's photography, jury member Christophe Margot said, "the slideshow was elegant but above all consistent with amazing photos in every discipline. He managed to capture the most exciting moment in each sport, which is very difficult."
Without a doubt, competitors in the 6th edition of the Nissan Outdoor Games brought the competition to the next level.
