Aspiring Reporters Wanted for Red Bull X-Fighters
Red Bull Reporter is a nationwide search to find the best, young, music, culture and sports writers, filmmakers, presenters and photographers, giving them the opportunity of a lifetime; the chance to use their skills and realise their passions as a Red Bull Reporter.
Red Bull Reporter has joined forces with Dave TV to offer a very special assignment giving aspiring reporters the chance to report on each regional heat of the Red Bull X-Fighters Jams Tour and the London Final at Battersea Power Station.
The Jams events highlight the incredible skills of the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour Local riders, hard at work bringing FMX to brand new countries and locations with the series of Red Bull X-Fighters Jams.
The Jams have already achieved cult status in the cities they have visited, with top riders from the regions joining some of the brightest stars from the international scene, to put on insane shows in front of tens of thousands of people.
This summer Red Bull X-Fighters Jams will stop in four cities across the United Kingdom to give the crowd a taste of what will be going on in London Battersea on August 14th. The four tour stops are:
- Nottingham on Friday 2nd July
- Brighton on Saturday 10th July
- Leeds on Saturday 17th July
- Newcastle on Saturday 24th July
So, the search is now on for 8 reporters, who will make up 4 separate teams - 2 with a photographer and writer, and 2 with a filmmaker and presenter.
The selected applicants will be partnered up with another Red Bull Reporter to cover one of the regional stops of the Red Bull X-Fighters Jams tour in the United Kingdom.
Following the tour, the most creative reports from two of the four teams will be chosen to cover the final at Battersea Power Station on 14th August. The final will take place against the awe-inspiring backdrop of Battersea Power Station to a crowd of 30,000 people – a sensory overload and a coveted gig for aspiring reporters to write about, snap, shoot or present at.
The final event of the 2009 Red Bull X-Fighters in London left FMX riders and fans alike yearning for more. It is once again that time of the year and the 2010 freestyle motocross event opener in Mexico is just days away.
After all of their hard work and perseverance, the FMX Awards is the perfect way to recognize the best FMX riders of the year. The award ceremony has been held annually since 2006.
